Memotone: Where Memory Is Traded

We were commissioned by Tokyo-based label Diskotopia to make a music video for Where Memory Is Traded by Memotone, the principal alias for Bristol-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer William Yates. The track is taken from his March 2020 released album Invisible Cities. The anamorphic widescreen video was shot just outside Tokyo in the forests that provided the inspiration for Studio Ghibli’s animated film My Neighbor Totoro and features US-born Tokyo-based model Tay Smith.
